Editing was not something I'd given much thought to. Not until I stumbled across a wonderful online community, where people are always looking for more readers!! I mean, Can you believe it? Looking for readers??? And here I was without reading material! :O so... I did what I did best!! I READ! I read and I commented on what I liked and didn't like.
The people on GA are so, so nice. I have never before seen a closer knit online community! I made (and am still making) friends! I love how open minded people are. This is not my first time seeking out online friendships! ( not because I don’t have enough friends in real life, but because, I ALWAYS want to make more friends)
The best part though, is the encouragement you get when you propose something.
Once I did a drawing that was inspired by a story I read there. I KNOW that the drawing was nothing special, it was nice, yes.. but nothing that great... (I’m NOT looking for compliments here) But, what touched me most was how people reacted to it! the author, Agaith, is a good friend of mine now, and I even hesitated to tell him that I had drawn it for his character!
The encouragement and confidence (Ag calls it 'poking' me) that I got from the people there made me less shy about my creations! I did something I never thought I would... ever!!!
I wrote!
Shocked the hell out of me!! But I did! And every one that encouraged me in the first place was so good to me when I did! They read it... reviewed it… and well... (The worst bit)...are poking me to write more.
Everyday I meet new people, make new friends, and it amazes me how wonderful and accepting people can be to the quirks of other people! :)
A huge thank you to everyone who has made my life a little better in the past few months!
I met my soul sister... met my 'Muse' [ ;) ]... Made a few wonderful, wonderful friends... Here's hoping for a more productive next six months :)
*hugs*
If anyone reading this blog ends up on GA, Look me up :) I can always use new friends!
